Day 1 - 2: Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)

We’ll meet you at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City - flight details to be advised. Before heading into town, you can change your dollars into Vietnamese Dong at the airport currency exchange bureau. Afterwards, we’ll transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at your leisure. We’ll spend a few minutes to go through your itinerary before we go out to dinner in one of our chosen restaurants. Overnight hotel stay is in Ho Chi Minh City.

A half day tour on day 2, your guide will take you for a look around HCMC, still called Saigon by many locals. This bustling metropolis is crowded with motorbikes and cars, excited by numerous shopping areas and sidewalk cafés. You’ll visit all the famous sites such as the Re-Unification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975 and the War Remnant Museum before continuing to the interesting and busy Ben Thanh Central Market where anything and everything is for sale! Overnight hotel stay is in Ho Chi Minh City.

Close to the Palace are some striking French colonial style buildings such as the Post Office and spectacular Notre Dame Cathedral.
Day 3 - 7: Hoi An

Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City behind on day 3, we take a short morning flight to Da Nang and then a quick air conditioned bus trip to Hoi An.

Being a busy trading port in early 17th century, Hoi An was a goods exchange centre for merchants from many different countries such as China, Japan, France, Portugal and England. Architecture in Hoi An is a mixture of many old cultures. You can see a Chinese Assembly Hall next to a villa of French architecture. And don’t forget to visit one of hundreds of tailors, shoes makers and souvenir shops. Hoi An is famous for its quality Tinkers and Tailors and your guide will be able to assist or to give some advice on where best to shop. Overnight hotel stay in Hoi An

On morning of day 4, our guide will take you to see some of the cultural and historical sights such as the Japanese Covered Bridge, Assembly Hall, Tan Ky old Ancient House and a traditional handicraft workshop. Overnight hotel stay in Hoi An

Day 5 is free for you to enjoy the fabulous Hoi An Town. You can do some shopping or to laze by the beach, to ride bicycle around the countryside. Hoi An is a place where you can walk around in few days and always find something new and interesting. If you’ve ordered clothes to be made, you’ll have time for final fitting and then to collect your new clothes from the tailors. Overnight hotel stay in Hoi An

Day 6 will be exciting and fun when you take part in a 5 course cooking class in one of the local people’s home followed by dinner, eating all that you’ve been cooking. The host will take you back to town by his boat along the beautiful Thu Bon River. Day 7 is free for you to enjoy the fabulous Hoi An Town. You can do some shopping or to laze by the beach, to ride bicycle around the countryside. Day 8 - 9: Hanoi

Day 8, we arrive in the Capital city Hanoi after great days of relaxation in Hoi An. Hanoi is very culturally rewarding and its occupants are probably truest to the Vietnamese culture. The Old French Quarter is definitely unique in Vietnam and great for shopping and traditional Vietnamese food. You stay overnight in Hanoi.

On day 9, we’ll take a day tour of Hanoi, starting with the Ho Chi Minh complex including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, House on Stilts and Museum. Next we visit the Temple of Literature which is regarded as the first University of Vietnam established in the year 1070. In the afternoon, we visit the Museum of Ethnology and take an hour ride on a “cyclo” (a 3 wheeled cycle with a sedan for riding in on the front and peddled by a Vietnamese man) tour and then watch the Water Puppet show.You stay overnight in Hanoi. For lunch, we will take you to one of our recommended restaurants for local food. Next we visit the Ha Noi Hilton (Hoa Lo prison museum) and in the afternoon, we visit the Museum of Ethnology and take an hour ride on a “cyclo” (a 3 wheeled cycle with a sedan for riding in on the front and peddled by a Vietnamese man) tour and then watch the Water Puppet show. You stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 10 - 12: Cat Ba Island

Day 10, your guide will meet you at your hotel at 8.30 am in the morning and you’ll travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to Cat Ba Island. Driving will take you through some picturesque countryside of Vietnam and its culture.

Becoming a popular holiday destination for tourists, Cat Ba is famous for white sandy beaches and rich seafood supplies. On the way to town, we'll visit Cat Ba national park and Hospital cave. We arrive at the hotel after lunch. You will have a free afternoon to explore the beach and local communities. Witness the majestic limestone karsts jutting hundreds of meters high up to the sky from the sea. Overnight hotel stay on Cat Ba Island

To most of our clients, the boat cruise on day 11 is their favorite. You will be taken out to Lan Ha Bay to cruise around through incredible mountains and swim in the emerald water of the South China Sea. You will have lunch on the boat and return to the harbor mid afternoon. The evening is free to explore Cat Ba’s night life, sample some of its famous seafood, and make sure you say hello to our friend, Mr. Khanh, if you pass by the Blue Note bar, one of the best bars in town. Day 12 is free for you to explore or hire a motor bike and ride around the island, swim or just relax with a good book and a cold drink on the beach. Overnight hotel stay on Cat Ba Island
Day 13 - 14: Hanoi - Departure

We will take you back to Hai Phong City by hydrofoil on day 13 where our driver is waiting to take you back to Hanoi for some last sightseeing and shopping. You stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 14 is free to pack for your return journey home. You can relax or do some last minute shopping before we take you to the airport for your return flight home. Please advise us of your flight departure time,
